Are You On A Negative Spiral?

What is a negative spiral? It's when a whole pile of negative thoughts, emotions or physical happenings in your life just pile up and it becomes too much. You get so immersed in it that you think that this is what your life is all about and it will never end and it's all so very, very real. We've all had them. They can last a week or two but sometimes they last months, years.

So what do we do when we get caught in one of these? The first thing is to realise what is happening and take responsibility for it. It's probably all been building up for a while. Things like this don't just happen overnight. They build up slowly and what happens is that negative energy attracts negative energy like a magnet. This creates a chain of events, thoughts, feelings and before you know it you are saturated with that negative energy.

It is important to look at what is happening and make a note of what meaning you can get out of it. Is there anything positive you can glean from all this stuff you are going through? It is your choice as to how you handle what happens. You can be negative and stay feeling bad or look at the positive side which may just get you feeling a little better and help you shift perspective to the bigger picture. This involves being proactive and seeing how this situation could actually serve you in some way. Make a list of how you can turn it around and what can you gain in terms of appreciation of the changes it can help you make in your life?

The reason you need to do the above is because if you can glean the positive you have a chance to turn it all round. How? Well remember the movie 'What the Bleep' and 'The secret'? It's all true. It's all about energy. Positive stuff gives out positive vibrations. Everything in this universe has a vibrational field and negativity is like a mobile phone signal going out to the universe just attracting more of the same stuff. That's how a downward spiral picks up speed. One feeling attracts another, then another and before you know it you have a full set growing more intense by the moment.

The good thing is that the same happens with positive thoughts and emotions. You can correct a negative spiral by interrupting the pattern. Turn it around by choosing a slightly better way of thinking which will give you a slightly better feeling which will attract a better event. This will in turn give you an even more positive thought, a more positive feeling and start a whole series of positive events to flow in your direction.

You need to consciously realise there are ways to overcome the negativity in your life no matter what situation you have created for yourself. It is possible to lift yourself out of it by opening up your thinking and letting something new come into your thoughts. Look at all the possibilities and let yourself imagine the problem or situation is solved then follow that through with action.

Believe and focus on the positive. Shift your emphasis to what you want instead of complaining and worrying about what you don't want. Soon you will find positive things will start to happen more and more quickly because you have produced a positive 'magnet'. Quieten yourself down, tune into your inner self and listen to your heart. Be honest with yourself and then follow through on what you know inside you really need to do. Just do it! It may take some persistence, a new attitude and a bit of hard work but it can happen if you do it consistently. You must move towards the things that you really want because they won't come to you if you just sit there. You have an active role in manifesting your own life so you must trust yourself to do what is right for you. Once you have done that, do the next thing, then the next and you will find you are no longer lost in negativity. One day you will reach the end of your trail and bingo! How many dreams did you fulfil in the meantime?

Accentuate The Positive And Say Farewell To Negative Thoughts And Feelings

Have you been busted lately? Feeling so annoyed and incompetent? Nowadays, there are only a few things that juggle in men's lives. These are career, love life, relationships, and individuality. It is a proven fact that any unbalance or even disturbance of any of these areas would lead to confusion.

Having been busted, annoyed and incompetent is pretty normal; in fact, it is inevitable to have been drifted into this kind of mischievous emotions once in a while. There might be no apparent cause or probable reasons one may think as of the moment, but in a long run, when one tries to examine oneself and ambitions, it is a sure hit that a person can see some of the causes why it happens.

In today's fast changing world, it is not anymore common to us that any uncertainty would lead to a predicament result. How can we fight the battles without being injured? This may be a million dollar question. Unfortunately, the answer might be vaguely- Impossible. However, there are some proven facts that would enlighten our minds if ever we feel some of the odious changes around us. That is - Prioritization.

Prioritization is very vital especially in the world where snap changes happen. Here are some of the basic reminders one must consider to jolt back the normal "us" when we try to juggle so many balls in the air.

1. Relationships. Most of the time, this area has been greatly affected because of the queasy times most of us spend in a busy office. We certainly forget that we need to give quality time to our loved ones without having been hooked with tremendous workloads. The notion to compartmentalize all the ideas behind when one is at home is of great advantage to keep any relationship intact. More so, we can also solidify a relationship among our loved ones when we know how to value quality time above all else.

2. Career. If one is into business, it is of great importance to welcome technology and innovation. In an instance, owner of huge call centers often have the latest transcription foot pedal and digital dictation to lift their names in the corporate ladder. With its great advantages, more clients and customers have been given excellent services. When one knows how to prioritize this aspect. The goal to increase revenues and income would be feasible.

3. Love life. According to the bible, "If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:3). Yes! It is true that despite of our goals and ambitions, we need to satisfy our thirst and hunger for love. This is a touchstone so we can perfectly say we are humans. Giving love and having been reciprocated in return is a sure way to make us feel important.

4. Individuality. This is very important. No matter how successful we are in our career, if we can't love, forgive and accept ourselves, we can never be happy. The only way to keep ourselves intact is to acknowledge that we have unique purposes why we are here. We need a personal communion with ourselves so we can fully subsidize the most of what we have to the fullest.

Although it is queasy to realize all these in a snap, but with a little enlightenment and push, we can genuinely feel the atmosphere of positivism when we learn to realize and accept changes around us.

Let us try to set our priority straight and balance all the core elements of our lives. From that point, we can accentuate positivism and right attitude to eliminate negative feelings.

6 Tips to Turn Negative Into Positive

1) Notice your speech patterns and change them when necessary.Do you ever say things like, "I'm not good enough," "I can't afford it," "I'm so fat," "There are no good men/women out there for me," etc. All of these are examples of very limited thinking. When you hear that negative self-talk creeping into your thoughts, acknowledge it briefly, then let it go by replacing it with a new positive affirmation. Examples: "I am enough," "Money flows to me; I always have enough to pay my bills and much more," "I love my healthy, fit body," "I am worthy of and attract a healthy relationship." Always state them in the present-tense positive: "I am healthy" rather than "I am not fat."

Even if you are 30 pounds overweight and your conscious mind isn't quite buying it, the subconscious mind, which sees in pictures, will take it without questioning and your behaviors always align themselves with that subconscious belief.

It actually becomes fun, coming up with more and more positive affirmations to say to yourself. Start your own affirmation notebook.

2) Be willing to let go of what is no longer serving you, even if (especially if) it will take you out of your comfort zone. Believe that it is safe to release the need to keep any distorted patterns.

3) Own your power and with it start creating the life you really want. If you catch yourself reverting back to any negative thought habits, ask yourself "If I could have anything I want in this situation, what would that look like?" Feel it, smell it, taste it, touch it. The more senses you engage, the easier it becomes to manifest that into a reality.

4) Gain knowledge by reading some great books on this subject. There are now literally hundreds of books on the Law of Attraction. A few of my favorites are: You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay, The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer, The Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale, and The Jack Rabbit Factor by Leslie Householder. If you go to any online bookstore and search for Law of Attraction, you'll find a huge list of books to choose from.

5) Meditation and exercises such as Tai Chi and Yoga help to get you into a centered state, where you have the clarity to identify negative patterns so that you can let them go.

6) Get some energy therapy. With energy healing, we are able to bypass the conscious mind's defense mechanisms that keep deeper beliefs and thoughts hidden away. The mind does this so we are able to function seemingly adequately on a daily basis. With energy therapy, we are able to release the limiting attitudes and beliefs, and replace them with supporting attitudes and beliefs.

By clearing deeper beliefs from the subconscious on an energy cell level, we are getting to the root of the problem, at the same time plugging in corresponding positive affirmations. This raises the vibration of the thoughts we are sending out. With my clients, once these affirmations are plugged into their subconscious mind, they experience improved circumstances and increased feelings of self-worth immediately.

Remember, whatever you concentrate on increases, or as I like to say, "What you think about, you bring about / What you fear will appear." Every thought we think is creating our future. What seeds of thought are you sowing?
